Atif Aslam Decline To Promote Indian Music When Bollywood Banned Pakistani Artists Working With Them


Now a days Pakistani music industry is going on a huge hit, artists like atif aslam, ali zafar, shehzad roy and many more did great work for pakistan. So some of Pakistani artists move to Bollywood in order to work with them and earn their name across the boundries, but some of them do not want to work in subcontinent. Also there was a time when Pakistani music industry is totally proliferate and artist did not need to compromise their greatness.

Recently, the indian singer Babul Supriyo turned politician necessitate that Pakistani artists are not allowed to work with india however it belongs to any sanction and it should be banned. He also demanded that the vocals of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan should be taken off the movie welcome to new york.


This ban has hurt the people of pakistan as well as india. Our legend and heartthrob of india, Atif Aslam recently sung a song for Sanjeev Kumar’s film Daas Dev. The song was so called as ‘ Sehmi hai dharkan’. Since the ban Atif Aslam has refused to promote the movie song, he stand by his country and his fellow artists.


 Director said in the statement that “Atif said he will do it, but it hasn’t been done. I’m not sure why he isn’t taking part in the activity, but, as a producer, I see that work promised hasn’t been executed”  he also said about the politician Babul Supriyo that “Normally, such statements are made by fringe groups. When a minister says it, it leaves an impact on more people. But we needed Atif for this song. He has 20 million followers on social media. Imagine the kind of traction we would have got had he promoted it.”

Pakistani artist admire the Atif’s refusal to promote Bollywood music, as he is standing by all our artists. The ban on Pakistani artists working in india has been entitle as “ anti-pakistan prejudice”. This ban was passed by Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association. Pakistan’s foreign office takes part as well as an official statement was made by spokesman Dr. Mohammad Faisal. He said that”It is unfortunate that art and cinema, which bring people together by acting as cultural bridges, are being held hostage to hate and xenophobia” he also said that “Unfortunately this decision, following several others, including non-issuance of visas to Pakistani pilgrims, refusal to allow participation of Sikhs and Katas Raj pilgrims, and cancellation of sports matches, underscores the growing intolerance and bias prevalent in India”
