The Dangal star Zaira Wasim got allegedly molested on a flight when she was travelling from Delhi to Mumbai.
The actress recently appeared on big screen in Amir Khan’s Secret Superstar and is a known name of Bollywood.
Zaira Wasim in her Instagram stories and video held that she was being harrassed by a passenger during two hours journey.
The 17-year-old Zaira said in her posts that a man behind her was rubbing his foot against her neck and back when she was even half asleep.
“It was all chill till I felt somebody brushing against my back while I was half asleep. It continued for another 5-10 minutes and then I was sure of it. He kept nudging my shoulder and continued to move his foot up and down my back and neck,” Zaira wrote.
Zaira managed to make the video when the passenger’s foot was almost on her seat but couldn’t make the whole video due to dimmed lights in the plane of a Vistara airline.
“I tried to record it on my phone to understand it better but because the cabin lights were dimmed so I failed to get it. The lights were dimmed so it was even worse,” Zaira wrote.
Soon after Zaira landed, she went live on Instagram and was literally rolling in tears. She said with tears in eyes and shaking voice, “So I just landed… this is not done at all. This is not how a girl should be made to feel as it’s terrible. Is this how they are taking caring of the girls? No one helps you until you help yourself. This is worst thing.”
Being a little girl Zaira is, she was disturbed by the whole harassment which she faced on flight and this breaks our heart that what kind of struggles girls face every single day.
It doesn’t matter you are a famous woman or not, you will just face this kind of abusive behaviour everywhere but it just needs to stop now.
However, young Zaira also criticized and slammed the Vistara Airline by writing, “slow claps for Vistara’s crew guys. Wonderful!”
Vistara Airline has anyway started an investigation in this harassment case which Zaira Wasim faced from their another customer on flight.
Also, the civil aviation ministry and aviation watchdog DGCA have asked about the details of incident from the Vistara Airline.
The National Commission of Women has also sent the notice to the Vistara Airline that they have not arrested the accused passenger yet.
Also the police officer visited the hotel where Zaira has been staying to record her statement about harassment against her.
We hope that the harrasser must be given the required punishment and held accountable for his totally immoral and unethical behaviour against the 17-year-old girl.
It’s also appreciable that despite being disturbed by the incident, Zaira Wasim has spoken up for herself. Girls out there should take notes and always raise their voice against any kind of molestation for their own betterment.
