Meesha Shafi, the actor and singer, has few days before shared the story of sexual harassment which she faced allegedly by Ali Zafar, who is a big name of Pakistani entertainment industry.
As soon as Meesha shared her side of story, it took Pakistani media and internet by storm. Some took Ali’s side while some supported Meesha.
Also, the male singer and actor, Ali Zafar denied the accusations of sexual harassment against him. However, some other women also came up with their stories of sexual harassment involving Ali Zafar during all this Ali-Meesha controversy.
After that, many names from the entertainment industry of Pakistan have spoken up against sexual harassment including, Armeena Khan, Mahira Khan, Momina Mustehsan, Osman Khalid Butt and some others.
Then we have also seen Rose McGowan, the Hollywood actress and campaigner of #MeToo coming out in support of Meesha Shafi as well.
Anyhow, the Ali-Meesha controversy revealed many sides of the Pakistani society. One of them is quite ugly, i.e. blaming and shaming the accuser (or victim) by the people when she speaks up against harassment or abuse she has faced allegedly some person.
Like come on! We should hear the accuser (or victim) at least without shaming her just like we listen to the accused.
However, as Ali Zafar denied the accusations and intended to take the things in the court, according to the Parhlo, many official publications and outlets have been reporting that Meesha Shafi was served with a legal notice by Ali Zafar.
Ali though didn’t say anything regarding the legal notice, Meesha Shafi today revealed the names of her legal counsels that include Muhammad Ahmad Pansota and Nighat Dad who will look after the issues concerning her sexual harassment claim against Ali Zafar.
“I have appointed Barrister pansota1(Muhammad Ahmad Pansota) and nighatdad (Nighat Dad) as my legal counsels to look after all issues pertaining to my sexual harassment claim against Ali Zafar. Media is requested to contact them to get any update on the ongoing issue,” Meesha wrote in a tweet.

Meesha talking about her legal team kind of shows that she might be served with a legal notice by Ali and things are getting serious with passing days. Also, it’s good if things will be handled professionally in court and we hope the truth to be prevailed.
