As we know that Faizabad Dharna has ended from the Pakistan’s political scene but it’s after-effects are still appearing in the form of different statements and controversial remarks. Demand of resignation of Rana Sana Ullah is also one of such aftermaths.
Days back, Rana Sana Ullah who is Law Minister of Punjab, passed some controversial comments regarding Ahmadis and it irked many.
Rana Sana Ullah in his statement said that Ahmadis fast and pray as well and they recite Azaan too. The only opposition with them is on the fact of khatm-e-nabuwat (Finality of Prophethood).
The Punjab Law Minister’s comments created a controversy and he was criticized by many people for his statement. According to the critics, Rana Sana Ullah declared Ahmadis as Muslims.
However, after erupting of controversy, Punjab’s Law Minister stated that he never declared Qadianis as Muslims.
As the Faizabad Dharna is all about the amendment that omitted clauses related to Ahmadis which stands withdrawn now; so, Rana Sana Ullah was also taken in storm because of his controversial remarks on Ahmadis’ issue.
After, the Faizabad Dharna was called off, many protestors continued protesting in Lahore, demanding the Punjab’s Law Minister’s resignation.
In the same context, Zaeem Qadri, member of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) went to meet Pir Hameed Ud Din Sialvi to resolve his reservations on Rana Sana Ullah’s matter.
Pir Hameed Ud Din Sialvi is a Sargodha-based spiritual leader and 14 lawmakers of PML-N have submitted their resignations to him and have given him authority to decide anything on their behalf, according to Sheikh Muhammad Akram, member of PML-N.
However, a video of meeting of Zaeem Qadri and Pir Hameed Ud Din Sialvi circulated on social media in which Pir Sialvi held that, “Rana Sana Ullah should recite Kalma again, as he uttered kufr.”
Also, the spiritual leader said that, “Punjab’s Law Minister should also go for an apology for his words.”
However, all the happenings after Faizabad Dharna shows that it’s after-effects will be seen for few days on the Pakistan’s political scene with all the new turns.
