Since Pakistan has won the ICC Champions Trophy a wave of happiness has spread through every single person of the nation.
Not even the political leaders are prone to it.
Everybody seems to have that certain favourite player who they are rooting for.
Even going lengths to give them a gift or a token of appreciation.
Keeping this in mind KPK’s government decided to present their favorite player in a very unique way.
It is a token of appreciation that we all can appreciate.
The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government decided to build a brand new school and name it after Fakhar Zaman.
Now we all know who Fakhar zaman is.
For those who don’t;
Fakhar was born in Enzergay village but later moved to Karachi at the age of 16.
He joined the Pakistan Navy but switched his attention to cricket after a year because of his love and passion for it.
He made his debut in 2013 by playing for Karachi Blues.
And now he became the center of attention by scoring 114 runs against India and becoming the Man of the match.
It was in honor of his achievements that the building of the said Public school was announced.
Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Atif Khan called up the said batsman and congratulated him on how well he had performed.
Also on the team’s victory against India and winning the Trophy.
Fakhar belongs to Katlang tehsil of Mardan district located in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
Hence the school is said to be built in the same village due to the poor condition of education in the area.
The construction is said to be started after Eid and the school will the provided with modern facilities.
As great as this step and token of appreciation is,
I really do hope that KPK government goes through with it and makes this school a reality.
As the school will not only serve as a token but also be a blessing for the children who dream to study and become and better person in their lives.
Also it will serve as a stepping stone it the development the village as well as the whole district.
The said school will also become a symbol of example for other provincial governments.
